We are now seeking experienced Electrical Foreman, Qualified Electricians, Apprentice Electricians to join our Power Team, in the Dublin region. The successful candidates will report directly to the Project Manager who serves as the day-to-day co-ordinator for the Power team in the Dublin area.

These positions require that the individuals be comfortable in a fast paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem solving skills, organisational and communication skills and the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely within a team to deliver project targets on time
  • Plan and execute works in the most productive manner
  • Complete electrical installation works in line with the relevant standard and ensure that client specifications are adhered to at all times
  • Daily and weekly progress reports on works completed.
  • Complete test/quality documentation in a timely manner
  • Identify issues and risks at the earliest opportunity and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Maintaining the highest quality standards, with a Zero snag approach
  • High level of safe working practices and awareness. Develop and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Liaise with the SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) on project SHEQ matters.
  • Working hours consist of a mixture of both Day and Night Shifts

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • A qualified Electrician who holds a National Craft Cert.
  • Previous experience with a MV/HV Contractor is preferred
  • Experience working on large projects is an advantage
  • Strong IT , problem solving and communication skills
  • Good initiative, self-starter who can work on their own initiative

Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Advisor (DAA)

About the Role:

We are now seeking a SHEQ Advisor to support our Power Division, by taking the lead on all SHEQ issues for the delivery of a major project. The Project is in Dublin Airport, where the successful candidate will be based for the duration of the project.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Group SHEQ Manager. This position will provide support in all areas to the SHEQ Manager as well as the team members, in particular to the Project Manager.

This position requires that an individual be comfortable in a fast paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem solving skills, superior organisational and communication skills and the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that regular SHEQ Inspections & are carried out and that the findings of the Inspections are acted on, reviewed and corrective actions implemented.
  • Ensure that regular SHEQ Audits & are carried out of the company management systems in accordance with the annual audit schedule and that the findings of the audits are acted on, reviewed and corrective actions implemented.
  • Advise, guide and where necessary instruct company management on SHEQ matters to ensure observance of company policies in accordance with existing ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO9001:2015 Standards.
  • Arrange for adequate first aid facilities and a sufficient number of trained first aid attendants in administrative offices and on sites.
  • Ensure that suitable fire safety arrangements are in place in regional offices & on sites.
  • Ensure that a satisfactory procedure for emergencies is implemented and periodically practiced.
  • Liaise with the enforcing authorities.
  • Liaise with Health and Safety representatives.
  • Participate and report to the company SHEQ committee.
  • At all times maintain an awareness of SHEQ legislation and proposed legislation, codes of practise, and activity in the SHEQ field in other industries and companies to ensure that up to date knowledge and continued appropriateness of company policies and procedures.
  • Review on a monthly basis all findings of completed audit/inspections with Regional Management.
  • Undertake investigations of all accidents, near misses and identified hazards, making appropriate recommendations where necessary to ensure future prevention.
  • Liaise with the project manager on the identification and fulfilling of all SHEQ training requirements.
  • Maintain all such records, statistics, copies of forms and returns as necessary and required producing analysis and reports to identify areas for improvement or review.
  • Support Business Development, through tendering and business networking.
  • Ensure our core Customer Care principles are adhered to.

 

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:

  • Chartered Member of IOSH or working towards this accreditation.
  • A third level qualification (Diploma in Safety, Health & Welfare) with experience within the Engineering industry.
  • Experience as a SHEQ Practitioner, ideally working within an industrial environment or similar and have experience of implementing safety management systems in accordance with ISO 45001:2018/OHSAS 18001, quality systems with ISO 9001:2015 & environmental systems with ISO 14001:2015.
  • Previous experience within the MV/HV Power sector is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the Civils industry is preferred.
  • Ensures clear and appropriate goals are set; focuses well on targets; demonstrates enthusiasm and drive to consistently deliver quality in performance.
  • Clear and visible leadership, with capacity to absorb responsibility and accountability whilst providing sensitive direction to others.
  • Be able to work systematically within clear guidelines / set goals and strive to achieve required results consistently.
  • Ability to motivate and encourage others whilst taking the lead.
  • Considered analysis of all available data to arrive at viable options and organising information to identify the key issues and plan appropriately.

Surveyor for Cork Water Metering Contract

About the Role:

 

We are now seeking a Surveyor to join our Utilities Division, based in Cork. The successful candidate will report directly to the O&M Manager. This position will provide support in all areas of the Water contract as well as supporting other team members as required.

 

This position requires that an individual be comfortable working alone and as part of a team and must possess excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills and the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surveying of new and existing non-domestic water meter installations across Cork county.
  • Liaising with Irish Water, Cork County Council, Business owners, Building Contractors and any other stakeholders to ensure efficient work flow.
  • Ensure correct details are provided to back office staff and communicate any special requirements
  • Identify hazards and risks at the earliest opportunity and resolve or escalate as appropriate.
  • Assist meter readers and civil crew when required.
  • Install Water Meters in existing Meter Boxes.
  • Ensure our core Customer Care principles are adhered to.

 

Qualifications, Skills, Attributes and Experience:

  • Previous experience with water metering and/or water infrastructure preferred.
  • Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
