Mobile Crane Operator

Mainline Group is a leading provider of Network Build and Field Support Services, within the Water, Telecom & Energy sectors. Across each of these sectors our business naturally breaks into “Dirty Boots” Construction & “Clean Boots” Technical Installations, supported by our ICT and Data Capture Division.

We are now seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to join our Power team. The successful candidate will join our HV cable installation crew.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure safe Loading/unloading of cable drums.
Assisting with the installation of MV/HV cables on windfarms and grid connections.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• CSCS Mobile crane
• CSCS Slinger/Signaller
• Solas safe pass
• Manual Handling
• Artic Licence is desirable
• Previous experience with a MV/HV Contractor is preferred.
• Experience on Wind Farm projects is desirable, but not essential.
• Prepared to work out of office hours and occasionally on weekends, as and when required.
• Must be prepared to travel.
• This is a fast growing division of our Business and accordingly this position presents a great opportunity for the right candidate, as we are looking for someone who will get involved, and progress with the business as it grows.

Location:
Office base is Listowel, Kerry or Wilton, Cork but candidate will be based on site working on operations nationwide.

MV/HV Electrician (Power Division – Dublin Airfield Works)

About the Role:
We are now seeking an MV/HV Electrician to join our Power Team, in the Dublin region. The successful candidate will report directly to the Power Project Manager who serves as the day-to-day Co-ordinator for the Power team.This position requires that an individual be comfortable in a fast paced work environment, as well as possess excellent problem solving skills, organisational and communication skills and the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
• Working closely with a team of qualified electricians Airside in Dublin Airport.
• Installation of Airfield Lighting systems.
• Daily and weekly progress reports on works completed.
• Identify issues and risks at the earliest opportunity and resolve or escalate issues as appropriate.
• Maintaining the highest quality standards, with a Zero snag approach
• High level of safe working practices and awareness. Liaise with the SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) on project SHEQ matters.
• Working hours consist of a mixture of both Day and Night Shifts

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• A qualified Electrician or at a minimum a third year electrical apprentice with heavy industrial and/or HV experience.
• Previous experience with a MV/HV Contractor is preferred
• Experience working Airside in Airports is an advantage
• Holder of a Dublin Airport Access Badges is an advantage
• Strong IT , problem solving and communication skills
• Good initiative, self-starter who can work on their own initiative
• Prepared to work out of office hours and occasionally on weekends, as and when required

PICW / Site Manager Level E

Mainline Group is a leading provider of Network Build and Field Support Services, within the Water, Telecom & Energy sectors. Across each of these sectors our business naturally breaks into “Dirty Boots” Construction & “Clean Boots” Technical Installations, supported by our ICT and Data Capture Division.

We are now seeking a Site Manager responsible for managing ESB Civil Projects with Level E approval required for on-going projects in the South of Ireland. The ideal candidate will be from a trades background or have a construction management degree, with a proven track record in successfully delivering civils/utility projects for the ESB.

Previous experience of working in live stations or on the Framework Agreement is an advantage.

Duties:

  • Managing all aspects of the works on site on a daily basis
  • To promote and ensure high standards of Health, Safety and Quality on projects
  • Setting out and surveying on site
  • Responsible for supervising and managing sub-contractors
  • Ensure the company’s image and profile at site level is professional
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations and with company health & safety policy.
  • Oversee quality control on site. Completion of QA forms.
  • Monitoring and recording progress on site and assisting in updating the works programme
  • Management of material deliveries on site and checking quality of materials
  • Supervising sub-contractors.
  • Attend regular site meetings with construction team, design team and client
  • Monitoring site costs and ensuring project operates within budget
  • Maintaining daily site records and testing records

The ideal candidate will have :

  • A minimum of 10 years Site management experience.
  • Worked for a main contractor with a commitment to Zero Accident Policy.
  • A Proven ability in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • A current First Aid qualification.
  • Completed the CIF/IOSH Managing Safety in Construction Course.
  • Ensure Traffic Management arrangements are in accordance with the relevant traffic management plans

Requirements:

  • ESB Level E Qualification
  • ESBN Volume 1 substation induction
  • CIF/IOSH Managing Safety in Construction
  • Occupational first aid
  • CSCS Location of underground services.
  • Good communication skills
